THE PORTRAIT READING
The Person Inside the Person
I spent nearly twenty years as a photographer and creative director. There is a picture of me at the White House with Michelle Obama. I photographed campaigns for Gap, Estée Lauder, Ralph Lauren, made portraits for people whose work was already known long before they stood in front of my camera.
People assume photography is about light or composition. For me, it was always about the person inside the person. Walking into a room, sitting with someone, finding the version of them that existed underneath everything they thought they needed to present. The photograph was never the interesting part. Recognition was.
When the Systems Found Me
Eventually my own life asked me to turn that same attention inward. I started asking different questions about relationships I had always explained away as simply complicated. For most of my life I had reasoned myself out of what my body already knew. Learning to trust that quieter voice became the real work.
It was during that season that four systems began finding me: Western Astrology, Human Design, BaZi (八字), Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗數). I didn't study them to become a practitioner. I studied them because I was trying to understand my own life. What I found wasn't a new identity. It was recognition.
Four Directions, One Person
Each system approaches a person from a completely different direction. Different histories, different philosophies, different languages. Western Astrology reveals the psychology and symbolic landscape of a person. BaZi (八字) speaks through the five elements and the seasons of a life. Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗數) maps the terrains we move through — relationships, career, health, family, purpose. Human Design describes how our energy naturally moves through the world and how we're built to make decisions.
Each one tells a different story. Until they don't. Again and again, I watch four completely different traditions describe the same human being. By the time the fourth confirmation arrives, I'm no longer wondering whether it's accurate. I'm watching a portrait emerge.
For twenty years I made portraits with a camera. Now I make portraits with four ancient systems. The instrument changed. The work didn't.
What a Reading Gives You
The charts don't replace intuition. They give it language. When I read someone's portrait, I'm not looking for predictions. I'm looking for coherence — the places where everything that felt confusing suddenly makes sense.
That's the moment I care about most. Not when someone learns a new piece of information. When they recognize themselves. Sometimes it's quiet. Sometimes they cry. Sometimes they laugh because something they've always known, but never been able to explain, is sitting there in front of them in black and white.
I think about these portraits as opening a cave that's been blocked for a very long time. The light that enters isn't new. It has always been there. The portrait simply clears the path.

THE PROCESS
It begins with a short intake form. I'll ask for your birth date, birth time, and place of birth, along with a few questions about what has been on your mind lately. Some people come with a specific question. Others simply want to understand themselves more deeply. Either is a perfectly good place to begin.
From there, I spend the next week with your charts. I don't generate a report or fill in a template. Every Portrait Reading is written from the beginning for one person. I move back and forth between Western Astrology, BaZi (八字), Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗數), and Human Design, looking for the places where they begin telling the same story. That's where the portrait starts to emerge.
Within five to seven business days, your completed Portrait Reading arrives by email as a beautifully designed PDF. Printed copies are also available if you'd like something to hold in your hands.
The reading is typically forty-five to fifty pages long. We begin with who you have always been, then move through purpose, career, relationships, health, timing, and the themes that continue unfolding across your life. The final pages are always my favorite, because that is where everything begins fitting together.
Once you've had time to read it, we'll meet over Zoom for thirty to forty-five minutes. This isn't another reading. It's a conversation.
We'll talk about what surprised you, what felt immediately true, and what you're still sitting with. Sometimes one section opens up an entirely different conversation. Sometimes people simply want to tell me which sentence made them cry.
The session isn't recorded. It belongs only to the two of us.
WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE
A forty-five to fifty page Portrait Reading created exclusively for you.
Rather than receiving four separate interpretations, you'll receive one continuous portrait assembled from four ancient systems: Western Astrology, BaZi (八字), Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗數), and Human Design. Each system approaches your life from a different direction. Read together, they become something none of them could create alone.
You'll also receive a private conversation afterward, once you've had time to live with what you've read. Sometimes people want to talk through a single page. Sometimes they just want to tell me which line stopped them.
