In this series, I experimented with blending two mediums I love: black and white film photography and simple line drawings. I was curious to see what would happen when these different visual styles met, especially when using digital tools to interpret and merge them, sometimes in unexpected ways. The whole process felt a bit like discovering something new by chance.
I've always been drawn to the haunting, dreamlike mood found in some older Japanese films from the 50s and 60s, and also the timeless feel of film noir cinematography. I tried to capture a similar atmosphere here, using grainy textures, simple compositions, and sometimes showing objects or people suspended in a space that feels somewhere between reality and a dream. My hope is that these images evoke that same quiet, meditative, and slightly mysterious feeling for you.
