This series was another fun experiment, really born from my curiosity about blending old and new technologies. I wondered what would happen if I combined the feeling of traditional film photography, which I love, with the possibilities of AI tools.
So, I started with some of my own original film photographs as a base. Then, drawing on my photography background, I specifically tried using technical terms like "high speed film" or shallow depth-of-field camera settings like "f/1.2" directly within my AI prompts. I just wanted to see how the AI would interpret that specific kind of language! The results often came out as these soft-focus portraits that feel like they're floating somewhere between a memory and a dream. I really enjoyed seeing how somewhat everyday portraits could become more ethereal or otherworldly this way, creating an interesting mix where a classic photo feel meets the sometimes unpredictable textures that AI can generate.
